A Message from the Founder
Forgiving For Living, Inc. was founded in 1999 from a deeply personal place of pain, healing, and purpose. As a young girl, I experienced abandonment from my mother and sexual abuse from my father, experiences that could have defined my life, but instead became the foundation for my transformation.
What started as my personal journey has now become a mission. Forgiving For Living is dedicated to supporting young women who face challenges with self-esteem, life circumstances, and emotional barriers. We provide tools, strategies, and guidance to help them heal, grow, and move forward with confidence and purpose. We provide various curriculum materials, workshops and mentoring.

Through my journey, I discovered the true power of forgiveness, not just toward others, but toward myself. Forgiveness became the key that helped me break down walls of hurt, release pain, and begin the process of healing.
Forgiving For Living, Inc. was founded by Wendy Gladney in 1999 for the purpose of empowering women through forgiveness. As a child, she was the victim of sexual abuse by her father and, at the same time, was abandoned by her birth mother. Over the years, Wendy developed strategies for healing that allowed her to break down the walls of hurt and pain and eventually learn how to forgive. She shares how to embrace happiness, experience joy, and live a fulfilled life without hatred. She learned how to go from victim to victorious, and her mission is to help others do the same. I stand today not as a victim, but as a woman who chose healing… who chose freedom… and who now chooses to help others do the same. My prayer is that every young woman we serve will learn that her past does not define her and that a life filled with joy, peace, and purpose is still possible.
